How long will my order take?
Orders may take between 3-7 days to be fulfilled. This is because we handcraft most of our pieces once ordered. Once dispatched you will receive confirmation and tracking details from our courier. MELTHECOLLECTION is not responsible for any delays, lost parcels, inconveniences, or damages caused by mailer services domestically or internationally. Once an item is dispatched, we are relinquished of all responsibility, and this is transferred onto our couriers. They are responsible for the safe delivery of your parcel and should any issues occur during this process please contact the courier company directly. MELTHECOLLECTION is also not responsible for any international customs or fees presented.
All confirmation emails are automatically sent once an order is processed. If not appearing in your emails, please check your spam/junk mail. You may have entered an inactive email address or misspelt your current one. Please contact us with your order number and correct email and we will update your order file and have a new confirmation email sent out.
When will you restock pieces?
Are the repurposed designer pieces authentic?
Yes! All of our pendants and charms are 100% authentic pieces, reworked from either bags, coats and other accessories! The items themselves are resourced from licensed stores and are all entirely legitimate articles of apparel. As these are only pendants, buttons or charms an authenticity certificate is not provided. Our pendants are meticulously inspected by our reputable vendors who have extensive & long-standing experience to ensure we never work with fake items. * *Please note as majority of our authentic designer notions originate from vintage, preloved pieces slight imperfections are to be expected. All pieces are thoroughly examined to ensure a high standard of quality, as possible as we can.
Are all your items handcrafted?
Yes! All our pieces are personally created for you! Please keep in mind all authentic notions we use are vintage, the condition can be subject to slight imperfections. Each piece is handmade and there may be some minor scratches due to the process of making them.
What metals do you use?
Most of our chains are gold filled, ranging from 14k to 24k, gold plated or stainless steel. All product and material information is listed on each individual item throughout the website. Please ensure you read the materials before purchasing a product.
What is the difference between solid gold, gold filled and gold plated?
Gold plating is a process where a thin layer of gold is bonded onto a base metal such as brass or copper. Gold plated jewellery requires more care than other forms. Gold plated jewellery will tarnish with time. How long the plating lasts depends upon an individuals body chemistry and the care given to the product. Gold plated products should avoid exposure to water, chemicals, perfume and other substances such as lotion in order to maintain optimal condition.
Gold filled has 100x more gold than gold plated - which is actually 5% of its weight. This means gold filled jewelry lasts longer and will withstand wear and tear that gold plated can’t. You get the benefits of solid gold at a more affordable price! Gold filled items are tarnish resistant, hypoallergenic and have the potential to last a lifetime if cared for correctly (see ‘JEWELLERY CARE & SIZING’ for more information).
Solid Gold is the most valuable and durable form of gold. Solid gold has different purities which is expressed in ‘Karats’ (kt). Solid Gold is often mixed with other alloys (metals) as it’s too soft to hold its shape over time.
Will your jewellery make my skin go green?
We are unable to determine whether our jewellery will stain your skin, as it is purely based on an individuals body chemistry. If discolouration occurs we are not responsible and therefore, cannot offer a refund or exchange.
My order arrived damaged. What should I do?
All of our products are precisely inspected and hand packed securely with care. In the rare case you do receive a faulty item please contact us within 48 hours with photographic evidence to melthecollection@outlook.com. If 48 hours have past we unfortunately can not offer a refund. Read more on our ‘SHIPPING & RETURNS’ page for more information.
Do you offer returns?
Unfortunately, due to the nature of our pieces we can not offer returns of exchanges at this time. Please view our 'Shipping & Returns' page for further detailing.
